Suldal, with a population of around 4,000, is geographically the largest municipality in the county of Rogaland. In the administrative centre of Sand, you will find the Suldal tourist information centre and plenty of shops and other services. Suldal offers a wide range of attractions, activities, accommodation, restaurants and cafés, catering for all tastes throughout the year.

Attractions in Suldal include the Salmon Studio (Laksestudio), the Suldalsdampen paddle steamer, Blåsjø lake, the coastal community of Jelsa and the Ryfylke Museum. The museum has several sites around the district.

Suldal can offer many other exhilarating activities, including salmon safaris and river expeditions. The salmon safari involves putting on a survival suit and floating down the river, while the river expedition is an exciting raft ride down the Suldalslågen river.
